Traditional IP (i.e. the public Internet) backbones were not designed to handle the demanding performance requirements of business class video conferencing. Packet loss, jitter, and out-of-order packet delivery often result in degraded video and audio quality. Historically, this lack of predictable performance has limited the viability of IP video conferencing. In contrast, the mvision network ensures that video packets travel in-sequence delivering real-time quality of service (QoS).

The mvision video network is an MPLS/IP-based internal private network, being used solely for video conferencing. Techniques such as VPN steering and policing are carried out within the network thus delivering the best security. This eliminates the need to place expensive network equipment at the client’s premises. Our fully redundant network delivers 99.995% reliability.

From our Video Network Operation Centre (VNOC) we monitor all network connections, endpoints and services, and assess issues that may affect the performance.
